GENEVA. The United States has taken over from Singapore as the top country for the development of information and communications technology, according to rankings issued Tuesday by the World Economic Forum... Singapore secured second place, thanks to its regulatory environment and "world-class" levels of education and training.
Taiwan held the highest Asian spot, at seventh, with the report calling it an information technology "powerhouse" over the past three decades. It rose eight places on the basis of "intelligent" public policies and public-private partnerships in the sector. So it looks like we are still part of China. Wait, China is in Asia. Maybe we are part of Africa now. Full article from the IHT.
And in totally unrelated news, it looks like someone is taking The Wisdom of Crowds very seriously. And someone else is trying to explain again why Blacks just can't seem to escape the poverty trap.
