"For God's Sake, Please Stop the Aid!"

After all the hype over the G8 summit, I found this very interesting article linked from Singapore Angle.

It's an interesting treatise on how Western aid has actually perpetueted the problems in Africa, by putting farmers and tailors our of business and encouraging a culture of dependency instead of industry. It's like globalising the welfare state! (If you can't beat them, make them join you.)

Must read for all aspiring developmental economists.
