faceoff

When two cars meet on Singapore's crowded roadways, it is common courtesy for one to back into a niche to let the other by. Not so for these two cars:

The other unwritten rule of the road is for the smaller car to give way. But which is smaller, the BMW or the Merc? So in the end they just had a faceoff for a good ten minutes while other frustrated drivers reversed (see other car in picture) to find alternate routes and curious neighbours poked their heads out in anticipation of the confrontation.
