Skeleton found in Upper Thomson house

A human skeleton was found slumped over a toilet bowl in a house at Jalan Batai in Upper Thomson.

Officers from the National Environment Agency (NEA), acting on complaints by neighbours of mosquitoes in the area, found the skeleton after breaking into the house.

It was so badly decomposed that gender could not be established, and there was no indication that any clothes were left.

Said a neighbour who lives two doors down, Mr Kunji Rahman, 85: 'A woman lived there with her two daughters. I've lived here for 50 years, but never spoke to them. They don't like to talk.

'Three years ago, the old woman died, leaving her two daughters. Then about one-and-a-half years ago, I saw only one woman left.'

To depart the world in this way, with no one to turn to and no one to help. And no one to notice you are gone.
